Goodbye Santa Claus

So me and Twylla have been talking about this guy...

You know..when it's a good time to tell your kids that he isn't real. {oops sorry if I blew the lid off of that one} Well, she had made the decision to tell Tori the truth because she was being teased at school for still believing. {Ya mean-o-kids} Well anyways she asked me about if Kim knew the truth and I told her that I hadn't told her yet. I guess I always thought that when they're older, that they'd ask. Well today after school someone at school asked Kim about Santa and she said, "I didnt tell them mom that I believed in Santa." Really Kimberly..really? {Apparently they've also been teasing her about it in the past week & she was crying} So goshhhh I suddenly knew that my 11yr old, still believed in Santa and I now had to tell her that Santa did NOT exist. Part of me thought that she really should of figured it out by now. The other made me sad because she's innocent, so trusting still of her parents & is growing up wayyy too fast.
So I told her in the car, after I sent the other kids inside that we needed to talk. I sooo didnt know how to say it. LOL. I was nervous beyond compare..pathetic I know. You know the feeling when you were a kid and you've been lying about something and you needed to come clean? Yep that was me today..I didn't know where to start so basically it went like this..

Mom- "Well Kim what do you think about Santa" {Secretly still hoping the kid would ask if he was real so I could say no & not have to say the actual words. HA}

Kim- "He's real because we hear him ho ho-ing and hear his sleigh bells every year" {yes we raise the fantasy bar to an even higher degree of lies and make actual Santa sounds to get the kids to believe..LOL Robert is dang good at this and is available for small parties or all your holiday events}

Mom- "Well Kim.. I have something to tell you"

{For those of  you who watch "How I met your Mother"...looking at her face as I'm talking...it was if the glass had shattered on her jolly belief of the fat man}

Kim- tearing up as she asks.."Santa's not real?"

Mom- "Yes honey" and since I had already crashed that dream I decided to squeeze in.."Along with the Easter bunny and the tooth fairy" OUCH! Then I added, "That it is so important now that you know, that we make it extra special for your sisters and brother and not tell them ok?"

Kim - "Ok" as she's crying & wiping her eyes..

I then ask her if she's ok and she says yes. Then she turns off the tears and actually feels like she's just come across the biggest secret of all time and she knows about it. Once Robert walked in the door, she whispers to him that she now knows the truth about SANTA..hahaha

*Sigh* One Santa non believer down..3 more to go.

P.S. Oh and here's a present for all my bloggin buddies..don't google pictures of Santa...NOT PRETTY! :D

So I got to thinkin..

*Update*
{No fancy schmancy camera required! I started out with my lil ol point and shoot as well and surprisingly they can do a wonderful job!}

I've been asked (kinda wonder why..ha) if I'd have a little get together to better peoples picture taking abilities. So I'm thinking the first part of January. I'll try and secure a willing model or maybe even bring one of your own. Oh and it's FREE. If any of my fabulous photographer friends would like to come along as well..let me know because who doesn't like to take pictures? LOL.
Soooo I'm putting this out there..and we'll go from there. :D

Sweet Ahhmazingness 2 (Lots of Them)

So I've come to the realization that I love child photography. I think that's what I do best and it's my least nervous thing to shoot. Ha. On Sunday I had the awesome opportunity to take Kimberly & Tori (bff's) to downtown Florence after church to snap some pic's I've been meaning to try it out and after I saw some of Jaime's pic's there I had to go.
What an amazing morsel of photography goodness! I found soooo many awesome textures & elements. It also helped that I had willing models. It did get interesting when some freaky Florence resident whistled at our 10 & a 11 yr old little girls. Can you say, "Ewe I just threw up a little?" It was Sunday & we loved thy neighbor like unto so we ignored them.
So with that being said...here's another look at these lovely, spunky, growing girls. Thanks Twylla for letting borrow your pimpin hats and your daughter..enjoy your pics!

{Yes she looks Kinda like a gangsta here ahah}

Ohhh my ahhhmazingness!

I'm now a Scensty Consultant!

Ok so I know I was originally hosting a party on the 11th of November but I was sooo excited about their product that I decided to sell it. Its AMAZING and if your obsessed with smelly things you are gonna love it. Its a "wickless" candle. You place the yummy scentsy bars in the melting portion of your warmer. Since there's no flame, you can keep it on as long as you'd like. I have mine on 24/7! The wax will not burn you and it lasts just as long as a 24 oz Gold Canyon candle and only costs 5 whole bucks!
Im so very excited to have my launch party on the 11th and hope you can make it. If you're not able to make it, you can view the entire catalog ONLINE and place an order. Credit cards are accepted! So check out my site if your interested and hopefully I'll see ya'll on November 11th at my house 7-9 come and go. :0)

P.S. Also I will have some amazing specials for those who book a party in Nov/Dec.
Guess who I saw at the Fair? This guy...

Hahahahha Coolio...you know Gansta's Paradise (which was one of my fav songs back in the day) as well as several "other" interesting rap songs. They were doing a concert entitled "Old School" They had several hip hop starts from the early 90's. So we watched the totally [high] Coolio perform a few of his songs and we had to go. So stinkin fun.

On another note we attended my MOST favorite thing to do at the fair....Crash Up Derby! I scream hoot and howl and end up being hoarse the next day. The have junky cars crash into each other until theres only one left running. So we pick our favorite and watch the destruction. One of my favorites ended up getting flipped on its side and another car ended driving over the top of another. HOORAY! Not to mention the Jesus Car...hilarious!  Aweeeeee I love it! Pictures soon. ;)

So I f course jumped on the chance to squeeze in on her shoot. I had a blast andcouldnt stop smiling. The bride was sooooo stinkin cute and get this. They wore Vans as their shoes. Ha! Adorable! THANK you again Heather...it was so good to shoot with you & learn a ton. Your amazing & I love ya! Oh & I know most of them are in a vintage color tone. Im sooo in love with it lately. ;)
