Neener Neener Neener..I got to scrap with BECKY HIGGINS!!!

{A page that I actually designed and made by myself!!}

{Who's that hiding in the yucca??? LOL}

So my amazing friend Deneigh hooked us scrapfest girls up!!! First off we went to Gecko grill for dinner and Deneigh surprised us all with Becky Higgins new "Sketches" book!!! To top it off we were then told by a cute poem that we were actually going to go scrap with Becky Higgins herself at her HOUSE!!! Can you say excited???? So we get there and call her on the keypad and the gate opens. Well then the gate starts to close and Deneigh gunned it and we all begin to scream, expecting to hear the screeching of the gate making contact with the Suburban! We were laughing uncontrollably as we pull up to her house. To make things worse I step out into a huge puddle of mud in the gutter and my flip flop and toes get covered in mud. So this made me laugh even harder! Becky comes out of her house and greets us, offering to help us take our things in. I couldn't believe how down to earth she was. So we go inside her beautiful home and take a little tour of her scrap room which is heavenly and we scrapped for a few hours. I finished 6 pages!! That's unheard of for me!
So then just as we were about to leave she said that she had a box of "freebies" to give to us. So I'm thinking a little box of stuff...NOPE! Two huge boxes of stuff! Rub-ons, punches, paper, letters..you name it and she gave each of us one of her new wall sayings which sell for around 30 bucks!!!! It was Christmas my friends.

{This was only one of the boxes stuff}

I had a blast spending time with all the girls again and it was even sweeter that we got to do it all with Becky Higgins. Ok I'm going to breathe now! lol :) Thank you Deneigh for this amazing surprise!! Muah!

Where in the world at CKC is Amy Dewey Head?

So this weekend was CKU Creating Keepsakes Convention..its for scrap booking. Anyways Deneigh, Twylla, Shalayna and me booked a hotel room at the Hyatt Thursday-Saturday and attended classes Friday and Saturday. I took a couple of Becky Higgins classes as well as a couple other ones on Saturday. I learned alot and have once again been bitten by my crafty side and can't WAIT until the 28th of Sept when I get to get reunited with the girls from the Colorado trip to celebrate Scrapfest 2007. We had a blast once again and I can't thank Deneigh enough for getting me to finally join her in this fun tradition of hers. Thanks girls for making this weekend rock. Come on..making friends with the maintenance man and talking about his 3 legged cat, having security tell us to quiet down while Layna and Twylla hid, sharing a late night room service treat and especially watching Twylla try to eat a habanero pepper! Monica antagonizing a bum and us fearing for our lives in the middle of downtown Phoenix at night! I seriously have the best friends in the world!!

Ok now on to the funny part....Well Amy aka Amy Dewey head, couldn't come with us so we had this silly picture of her and cut just her head out and brought her along for the weekend. I have to admit that we had a lot of fun placing her in crazy situations and she even got to meet a well known scrap booker and get herself autographed!!! Thanks Twylla , Deneigh and Layna for taking pictures and coming up with some cool ideas but mostly for NOT being too embarrassed of me and my wackiness! Hey this is what happens when a mom of 4 gets to get away for the weekend!

Here's the video I made of her many "adventures". :) Check it out!

This weeks Photography !

This week's photography was really fun. We took the kids to this pasture that's out off of Arizona Farms road and they had an abundance of sunflowers and cows in this cool pasture out in the middle of nowhere. I've always wanted to stop and take pictures but I never had my camera, so we made a special trip out there just to take pictures. I have to say that Robbie was a sweetheart for supporting me with this addiction of mine and coming along for the ride. Then I took some pic's at Anthem and also of this amazing old crusty tree off of Attaway Rd. here in Florence LOL! Let me know what you think!

Photography

So I though that I'd start a new weekly post on photography. Heaven knows I need to develop my talent more and I think it would help to challenge me to photograph different things. So here we go.. These were actually taken last month, but they're some of my favorites.

  • Since we've been so blessed with rain this year, I thought it could be fun to play around with rain. This was a really fun thing to capture.

  • This was when one of the big storms rolled in..

  • This was when we went camping. Even though she looks like something out of Oliver Twist, I love how dramatic her eyes are.
