All I want for Christmas is "a baby that swims in the whaadah"

All Maddie wanted for Christmas was "a baby that swims in the whaadah." So yesterday I gave her a bath and this is her first time in the tub with her new baby. I just had to post because she was cracking (tee hee hee) me up!!! Warning: there is some baby bum. LOL.

Merry Christmas folks!!

HO! HO! HO!

Whew! I got alot of blogging to catch up on!! Ok first off two weeks ago, Lydia got really sick with pneumonia. Poor girl was miserable! She had a high fever and just rolled around saying her chest hurt. So I took her into Urgent care on Saturday, while Twylla watched my kids. Thank you again lady!!! So here's Lydia feeling super icky!

On to kinder art..last week I thought it would so cute to make these reindeers using the kids hands for the antlers, well can I just tell you how much of an undertaking this was? It was CRAZY! Tracing all those little hands!!! I have to say that they loved them and it turned out soooo cute. Here's Kyles' reindeer and a picture of one of the Kinder teacher's who put her kiddos up on the wall. ( yes I'm proud! LOL)

Now onto the weekend. I came down with a terrible cold and I was freaking out because I finally had time to take the Power's and the Gibbens' pictures. So I decided to do them anyway and sniffled through the whole thing. LOL Anyways, I was so happy with how the pictures turned out and thanks Heather for coming along and rockin!!

{Ok I love this one! I stole the idea off of another photographer's website though, so I can't take too much credit for it anyways....this is one of my favorites! }

{Gotta Love the jumping ones..man the Power's get some air!}

So I missed work on Monday and Tuesday because Maddie was spiking almost a 104 fever and I felt worse. So long story short I ended up with a sinus infection. I went to the my Doctor Now place and got in and out but they prescribed me a 35 dollar antibiotic so I of course had to wait till the next day to get it changed. So they change it and prescribe me one that I ALLERGIC to!! What the heck?! So that got straightened out finally and I'm feeling better. So when I sing in sacrament on Sunday.. don't be surprised if it sucks! LOL!
On to the annual Wright Engineering Christmas party!! So those that know us well, we strive to bring the oddest and craziest white elephant gift's!! So this year we did an Engineer's kit that had a magnifying glass, calculator, bald man's head wipes, and an electronic kit from the 80's!! Our other was these (the largest granny panties you've ever seen) and of course the owner's wife got it!! Her or her husband ALWAYS pick our gift!!! So it was a moment of hilarity that's for sure.

We also had a gingerbread house competition and I'm sure your dying to see how ours turned out right?

One of these?

Or these?

Maybe this one?

Nope!! Here it is guys!! Gingerbread house..or as Rob puts it..Gingerbread house hit by Katrina!
Needless to say we won honorable mention!!!

Merry Christmas everyone! Wishing you a safe and wonderful Christmas! We love you guys!

For Heather.... her first ever photo shoot!!!

{Power's hiding behind the tree's}

So I have an amazing friend named Heather, who doubles as a super awesome photographer.... who knew? LOL Well a couple weeks prior she was asking me some questions about the business part of photography. So to my excitement I asked her if she wanted to take my family pictures. I think she was a little worried at first or maybe surprised that I asked her..but she was then WAY excited to take them. So since I was doing the Powers' and the Gibbens' pictures on Sunday, I asked if she wanted to come along and take ours. She did an AMAZING job and these were her ideas! The first picture is the one in our Christmas card...THANK YOU !!!
Heather, you have a natural gift and I learned some things from you as well on Sunday. I'm so happy with how the pictures turned out and I can't wait to see you buy your first camera (you better call me so we can jump up and down like giddy school girls when you bring it home) Thank you again for doing this for my family. If you ever have any questions give me a call, I'm glad to help with whatever...and you can always call Jaime because she knows WAY more then I do!! ;)

Hmmm maybe the three of us need to go practice taking photo's sometime....

Kayli Wormell

This is one of the CUTEST little girls ever!!!! She just had her dance recital today and her mom Leslie came by for a minute and I asked her if she'd let me shoot some pictures of her. Thanks Leslie for letting me throw together a "ghetto" photo shoot on my front porch and for holding the black sheet up for me! LOL

Grandma Ann and the Kiddos!

{Grandma and Kyle}

~ I had the neato opportunity this weekend to take some pictures of all the eight grandkids for my mom's Christmas card. I of course had to go and take them at my FAVORITE place to take pictures. We were sooo very lucky because the rain that day had scared away MOST of the photographers that are usually there. So here's some of the results from Saturday's photo shoot with the Kutchinsky clan!

{This was the final picture of all the 8 grand babies..I think it turned out ok}

Florence 2nd Ward ROCKS!

So to explain this photo below, last weekend our ward had a scrapbook night at the church. Well most of us came with BAGS of stuff.... ok mostly me, and I also had my Ipod player that I was trying to keep from getting soaked from the down pour that was outside. I of course wore flip flops!! Yes water and wet cement and flip flops do not mix..lesson learned..maybe.
Anyways, I was able to take Deneigh along for the ride (which was soooo flippin awesome!!!) We arrived kinda late and got to work. Can I just say that the woman in my ward are a riot!! We had a blast talking about all sorts of things as well as swapping ideas and getting much needed advice on our projects. I chose to make my Christmas cards (which note to self, I need to finish LOL.) The only sad part was that all of my girls couldn't all make it.
So as we're packing up and are all about to leave, Aly Packard (she's in the relief society presidency) comes out wearing my relief society presidents wig!! So she comes up to me basically says "You have shorter hair, this will look better on you....put this on." All the while my RSP is cracking up!! So she slips it on and Deneigh snapped this super unflattering photo of myself!! LOL So I give the wig back and my RSP say's, "sometimes when I'm feeling a little crazy I wear it backwards." The she proceeds to put it on backwards which gets us laughing even harder. This just captures how much this ward has become my family. We can be super crazy goofy together and I'm so lucky to have these amazing sisters as friends. So what I'm pretty much trying to say is simple...Florence Second Ward ROCKS!!! Whoot whoot!!! :) Lovin my peeps!!

P.S. Do ya like the shirt? Hee hee!

Thanksgiving happenings..

Whew this year's Thanksgiving was CRAZY busy!!! It was a short week at school which was nice and we made toilet paper roll turkey's, which actually turned out super cute. On to Wednesday, I had a HUGE family shoot for my friend April Wolanin. A total of 23 people!! 13 of which were children. I was seriously freaking out because I have never done such a huge family before. Thanks to Jaime for letting me pick her brain and it turned out really well for the most part. Here's some of those pictures.

{Swain Family}

On Thursday we left for St David Arizona, to spend that holiday with Robert's family. They live on about 500 acres and Rex (my father in law) ranches cattle. Well they have a few horses and the kids LOVE to ride them everytime we go, so Grandpa saddled up the horses and was walking the kiddos around the yard. So it was mine and Maddie's turn. Now mind you last year I had a "incident" with one of the horses' named Nutmeg. She was doing fine as I started riding her around the house when she all of a sudden darts off towards the barn up along side the barbed wire fence. I'm thinking that I'm going to tear my legs up (stupid city chick was wearing Capri's at the time) I was then ducking to avoid being clotheslined from one of the tree's. So sure enough she stops at the barn and I get off. So now speed up to this year. So I get on Nutmeg and Maddie is sitting in front of me and Rex says that she'll follow behind him and Lydia on Smokey. So we set off and in the back of my mind, I'm still a little worried that she's going to flip on me. Well she was actually doing very well and we were quite away from the house when all of a sudden she completely turned around and started darting this way and that at a full gallop. I'm hanging onto Maddie for dear life and trying to pull back on the reigns and she's yanking her head around. I'm yelling, "Whoa!!" over and over again and she finally slows down and my mother in law comes running. She yells across the yard, "Are you okay?" Then she realizes that I have a kid with me. She freaks!!! I'm freaking even more then ever and I ask her if I should drop Maddie over the side to get her off because Nutmeg was starting to freak out again. She told me to get her off and try to get the horse under control. So I drop her over the side into some soft sand, all the while praying that she won't get trampled!!! Then Nutmeg starts galloping AGAIN and Kay says, "pull back." I then look at her and say, "I want off!!" She tells me that it's ok and to go ahead and finish my ride and to lead her back over to where Rex and Lydia were watching my lack of horse riding skills. So I lead her over to them and my heart is POUNDING!!! She does fine for the remainder of the ride and I get off of her and walk over to my mother in law. She then tells me that Nutmeg does these kind of things all the time. So we're laughing about my brush with death (Ok not really, but I thought I was going to die LOL) and Barbara (my sis in law) gets on Nutmeg and started to ride her and within minutes come flying around the house screaming. She did the same thing that she did last year to me! The funniest part of this story was Maddie telling grandma Kay that mommy kept saying, "Whoa". That was hilarious!!! So here she is. Crazy horse! :) She's the one that Kim and Kyle are riding with the blue bridle.

Ok now one to my favorite part. They have a monastery near their ranch and it has a giant cross that you can see from the highway. I've always been really interested about checking the place out and so me Robert, Paul and Barbara drove over there. It was a photographer's dream!! It was amazing. They had a meditation pond area with giant Japanese Koi fish, rustic benches and a beautiful bridge. Here's some of the photo's I snapped. Unfortunately The sun was going down way to fast so I was only able to snap a handful of good photo's. We also took some family pictures of all the kids and I took some of my brother and sister in law's families and of course a TON of baby Carsyn... gotta love those chubby cheeks! I also added some photography that I took around the ranch..just because! :)

Now onto Friday. I had another family shoot at Freestone park at 4:00 and after that I went to Deneigh's mom's wedding reception to also take pictures for some much needed practice . HAHAHA! It was so awesome to see Laurel be so happy and we couldn't be more happy for her. She deserves the best!

Well this was another wonderful Thanksgiving shared with family and friends. I'm so grateful for my family as well as good friends that might as well be family. I love the quote that says "Friends are God's way of apologizing for our relatives. - Unknown " Tee hee.. no I really do love and appreciate my family.
Happy Thanksgiving to you all!!
